You’ve Got Questions, We’ve Got Answers

Why is optimization so important?

Search engines are in the business of delivering the best, most relevant, results. This relevant information is obtained through algorithms that travel and categorize (spider) billions of websites to answer particular search. Relevant sites are then ranked from 1 – up and displayed in that order when you search. Since 87% of all searches stay on the first page, without proper optimization, your web site essentially doesn’t exist.

What is Web Presence?

It’s what we do for you. With over 1 trillion websites, it’s not enough just to have your business online. To be competitive, your business must have information in relevant, searched, strategic online locations to be found. Additionally since nearly 96% of users don’t click past the first page, unless you’re perfectly placed your competition will be beat you to your customer 99.99% of the time.

What is Geo-Targeting?

Our Geo-targeting is a proprietary technology that focuses our client’s keywords to a specific geographic area. This technology allows you to be in front of your target when they’re looking to make a decision! Geo-targeting, ensures specific, relevant content is delivered to a search based on the nature of the specific need and location. Simply put, geo-targeting enables local businesses to be matched with local searches.

What is the difference in an Organic link and a Sponsored link?

Organic links are the natural (or free) results that search algorithms find, rank and list. Organic listings are based  on relevancy and cannot be purchased. Organic listings take time and optimization before they appear. Sponsored links are paid advertising links that can appear quickly. The cost for this varies greatly depending on many factors such as keywords, competition, search volume, and how well the website is optimized.

Why is advertising growing online while print is shrinking?

Two main reasons: cost and effectiveness. When your business shows up for a geo-targeted local search result you know that searcher is looking for your business. When you advertise generally, you’re blasting your message to thousands of people where maybe only a handful may need your services.

Is this a flat fee or a pay-per-click service?

Flat fee, regardless of how many times your link is clicked.

How will I know how many people saw or clicked on my ad?

BWI will send you a monthly detailed report of your campaign’s activity detailing impressions and web page clicks. We want to make sure you have all the latest campaign statistics for making the most out of your search listings.

If I have a problem who should I contact?

Just call your sale representative to assist you with any questions or assistance required.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. We’re confident you’ll see a return on this highly effective marketing tool. We just ask that you give us 90 days to see results. If after that time you are not satisfied for any reason, just give us written cancellation notice and we’ll terminate your next scheduled billing.

Is there any contract?

Unlike our competitors, we require no contract. If you’re not seeing a return on this investment, you’re free to cancel any time in writing and we won’t bill you in your next scheduled billing date.

How many Keywords will I get?

We will provide up to 10 keywords that are most searched for your industry. Since we can never be certain the exact key word or phrase is using to find your business, we cover a multitude of search terms based on Google Analytics to ensure you will be found.

What other areas do I get besides my actual surrounding area?

This is really a case by case result. Area population and density will determine the band of coverage. Less populated regions get more coverage, highly populated regions get less. On average you can expect somewhere between 15-20 miles in all directions of coverage for geo-targeted searches.

I’m seeing success with Google Maps, what’s next?

Why Google search, why not all search engines?

Don’t let Google’s simplicity fool you; it’s a mega site and the most trafficked search engine in the world. It is the number one place people go to initiate a search and to get more information about products and services. Over 80% of all searches take place on Google. Other sites such as Yahoo, Bing, MSN and AOL COMBINED make up the remaining 20%.

Android takes Q2 smartphone market share lead in US with 886 percent year-over-year growth
We knew Android phones were selling like gangbusters — Google has been none too shy in telling us as much — but numbers were slightly less clear in a larger context. Well, if a new report by Canalys is to be believed, those numbers are just fine in a larger context. Canalys claims that in Q2 Android was up a whopping 886 percent over last year’s sales during this time period (remember, the original Droid didn’t come out until November), and those wild sales put it at 34 percent of the US market, compared to RIM’s 32 percent and Apple’s 21.7 share…

Recent data confirms, most searches done on Google

Search, Bing and Ask received 14.43 percent, 9.23 percent and 2.14 percent, respectively. The remaining 74 search engines in the Hitwise Search Engine Analysis Tool accounted for 2.03 percent of U.S. searches…

Over 2.8 Billion local queries on Google Each month
I have attended many (many) Search Engine conferences. They are sometimes fascinating, sometimes dull, and on occasion soul crushingly boring. I especially enjoy the keynote sessions given by the great and the good of the Search world. What’s noticeably missing in many sessions is hard data. Understandably folks tend to play their cards close to their chests, but any nugget of real data is a refreshing change…
